With over 40 years of experience in myriad aspects of technology, science, finance and business development, he has been responsible for and has contributed to ground breaking technologies in the communication, security, healthcare, financial, banking, energy, artificial intelligence, aerospace and enterprise systems industry.
A passionate aviator, Nick holds both fixed wing single and multi-engine as well as helicopter ratings and is instrument rated. A sought after international speaker his associations include but are not limited to the Navy League of the United States, the United States Naval Institute, the Military Officers Association of America, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Helicopter Association International, Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, Pilots for Kids Organization, Veterans Airlift Command and Deliver Fund which combats human trafficking with counter terrorism expertise.

Most recently, Thierry led the creation of the highly acclaimed and technology driven Super Nintendo World, featuring the world's first fully integrated augmented reality (AR) attraction and completely interactive land. In addition to his work as a solo artist, McAnally has written number-one singles for Alabama and Shenandoah, as well as songs for Sawyer Brown and T.G. Sheppard among others. He also holds a number of credits as a session musician, and has produced for Sawyer Brown, Restless Heart, and Jimmy Buffett. McAnally was also a longtime member of Buffett's backing band, the Coral Reefer Band, until Buffett's death in 2023.
